Volvo Trucks is well on its way to making its production process completely sustainable. The production facilities in Ghent in Belgium and Tuve in Sweden were the first “climate neutral” vehicle factories in the world. Since the cheapest lighting is abundant and free daylight, the LightCatcher was chosen.

The renovation and replacement process runs over several years, during which the existing skylights are systematically attenuated and replaced by LightCatchers. For both roof renovations and new construction projects such as the battery factory, the LightCatcher is being installed.

To keep the timing tight and weather independent, construction company Wyckaert and roofing company Tectum Group were asked to put a tent over the roof and move with it according to the different construction and renovation phases.
