What is relighting?

Relighting involves replacing old energy-wasting fixtures with new highly efficient LED lighting. This saves on electricity bills, maintenance costs and helps to protect the environment. The government supports these ecological investments, making you eligible for various subsidies and grants.

Naturally, EcoNation promotes the possibility of hybrid lighting by maximizing the combined light output of daylight and artificial light by means of daylight control.

Project progress

1. Appointment with the customer

Everything starts with an appointment at your facility. An EcoNation representative comes by to analyze the current lighting and discuss your requirements. The representative delivers these to the lighting engineer, who will develop a quality proposal for you.

2. Lighting study

Our lighting engineer makes a savings calculation and a lighting study for your building. The focus is always on an ideal light distribution and the lowest possible investment. We achieve this by combining the LED lighting with motion sensors and/or light sensors. This allows you to make additional savings on your consumption. In addition, the fixtures are designed taking into account the installation cost.

By combining the theoretical and practical aspects, we can offer you an interesting quote.

3. Execution

Relighting is always done by competent installers, installing your new lighting in a neat and safe way.

Advantages of LED relighting

1. Energy efficient

LED lighting is the most efficient lighting on the market today. LEDs have a very high light output relative to the energy they use. By switching to LED lighting, savings of up to 90% can be realized.

2. Sustainable

LED lighting has a much longer lifespan than traditional lighting. The burning hours of LED lighting run up to 50,000 hours. The longer lifetime ensures that the LED lighting needs to be replaced less quickly. The durability also generates savings compared to traditional lighting.

3. Fast reaction time

LED lights have a fast response time, which means they work instantly at full brightness. This makes LED lighting ideal to use in combination with motion detectors and/or light sensors. This will result in additional savings.

Frequent switching of LED lighting will not affect its lifespan, which is the case with classic fluorescent lighting.

4. Subsidies

Indeed, companies that invest in rational energy use or green energy can receive subsidies, grants, support or advice from various agencies. By investing in LED lighting, subsidies can be obtained from the government and, in the case of relightings, also from the grid operator.
