Each of our strategic partners requires and deserves its own approach and support.

Architects

Very often, architects come to know us through previous reference projects and find their way to us via satisfied end customers.

For architectural firms, we offer in-house support in creating their lighting plans in Dialux. You provide us with your design, and based on your information regarding the desired light intensity on the work floor or drawing from our own experience, we develop a complete lighting plan in Dialux internally. We take into account activity zones in the project (office, picking, storage, etc.), sprinkler systems, walkways between storage racks, areas where a bit of extra daylight is needed, and so on. This support is fully covered by us and is therefore free of charge for our partners. As the best available technology, the LightCatcher is often recommended when aiming for a positive sustainability certification.

Project developers

Bringing daylight into a space is often a matter of common sense over calculation models. The cheapest roof is a closed box, entirely lit by energy-efficient artificial lighting.

However, it is only a minority of commercial buildings where daylight is not given a role. The recognition of the importance of daylight continues to grow, and with the NEN-EN 17037 standard, published at the end of 2018, the foundation has been laid for a European standard that exclusively focuses on daylight design in buildings. In addition to NEN-EN 17037, there are also specific standards for commercial buildings related to lighting, such as NBN-EN 12464-1. This standard sets minimum requirements for lighting in indoor work environments and takes into account factors such as glare, lux levels (lumens per square meter), and color rendering (Ra), all criteria to which the LightCatcher provides an excellent response.

The Econation team enables you to present a lighting study to your end customer free of charge and assists wherever possible to provide tangible proof of your commitment to sustainability and the well-being of building users. We offer genuine support in achieving strong certification scores for your project (BREEAM, LEED, DGNB, HQE, etc.).

Industrial construction companies

Econation is happy to present itself as a flexible and reliable construction partner. For projects in the Benelux, we can provide the necessary support with our own installers for the assembly and installation of our LightCatchers.

In close consultation with our partners, agreements are made regarding the delivery and vertical transport of materials. We understand better than anyone that timing in the construction world is a flexible matter, often influenced by better or worse weather conditions. Depending on the progress of the work, the installation period is agreed upon with the contractor. Certain deadlines, such as pouring the concrete floor, are non-negotiable, and it is precisely in these situations that Econation proves to be a partner you can rely on, rather than a bottleneck in the project.

For those who choose to handle assembly and installation themselves, we are also here to help. Thanks to the new version of the Lightcatcher introduced in 2020, we have made our technology more robust and, above all, dummy-proof. A short on-the-job training ensures error-free assembly. We provide solid documentary support as well as personal assistance and supervision on-site.

Roofing contractors

(Industrial) roofing contractors often come to us when the need for a roof renovation or skylight replacement arises.

A roof renovation is the perfect opportunity to review the entire roof design:

Poorly insulated or worn-out skylights can be replaced by well-distributed Lightcatchers, which bring diffuse and evenly spread daylight into the building. Econation has extensive experience in this area and is happy to share it with its partners.

Additional roof insulation keeps the heat inside during cold winters and outside during the warm summer months, benefits that shouldn't be thrown out of the windows. Literally: our LightCatchers have a small footprint, covering only 2 to 3 percent of the roof surface, and the stationary air layer between the lenses ensures that insulation efforts are not compromised.

At Econation, you can count on both commercial and technical support (lighting studies).

On an operational level, you can choose to engage our own installers or, after an assembly and installation training, proceed with your own team.

Relighting specialists

We are open to collaboration with specialists in relighting.

Relighting is a discipline in itself, and while we recognize the value of hybrid industrial lighting, we stick to our expertise and opt for a joint approach to projects, where each party is responsible for their own specialty.

LED lighting remains a hot topic, and unlike traditional lighting, dimmed LED lighting consumes proportionally less energy. This makes the combination of maximum daylight use, supplemented with LEDs on daylight control when needed, a very strong case—even economically: every hour that artificial lighting can be dimmed or even turned off translates into direct savings on the energy bill.

International partners

Since we launched the Lightcatcher 2.0 in 2020 and monitored it on several large-scale projects, the time is ripe for internationalization, and we are opening the door to partners both within and outside Europe.

We are open to partnerships in various forms: importers, international project owners or developers, roofing companies looking to put the Lightcatcher on the map in their own country, and more.

Share your ideas and plans with us, and we would be happy to discuss the possibilities.
